A newly refurbished Guest House in the heart of Brighton’s Kemptown. The Griffin Guest House is a few yards from St. James St. and also just off the seafront and within two minutes walk of the Palace Pier. It has been recently thoroughly renovated. Lodged in a charming building dating from 1760, the hotel has nine rooms, each with its own en suite Whirlpool bath or shower.

The Griffin is a “Themed Hotel” we have themed our rooms as  - - - Bedrooms!  Those visitors seeking the traditional Brighton weekend away to party and shop will find themselves well accommodated; those, on the other hand, who want a romantic weekend may opt for one of the Whirlpool Bath Rooms.

Many of the bedrooms feature Kashmiri hand-sewn Wall Hanging Rugs, some of these are based on the artist Miro’s works, others are geometric, one depicts beautiful butterflies, if you like them try www.inhousespace.com who supplied them. Enjoy a fair-trade coffee or tea in our terrace conservatory at anytime during your stay We also allow smoking on the terrace .

Check in is from 14.00, however, we can hold your bags for you if you need to arrive earlier, check out is 12.00, again, we can hold your bags for you if you just have to go back to the Lanes to buy those shoes!

“Note – We now serve breakfast in our reception area, we have recently completed building a new Breakfast bar, similar to an American Diner, where you get to see the preparation of breakfast in front of you – Our conservatory and terrace  areas offer a small coffee lounge for guests to relax in or have a smoke on the open terrace”
